Pörner Vienna has once again received a contract for a Biturox® plant this March. The customer is ESSAR OIL Ltd. – one of the leading oil & gas companies in India. Pörner has enjoyed a long and successful partnership with the internationally active group with over 20 subsidiary companies and a workforce of ca. 60.000 employees.

The new bitumen plant will be built at the Vadinara refinery on the west coast of India. As well as the license, the scope of the contract includes the basic engineering, pilot tests with various raw materials, the commissioning and the start-up.

The basic engineering will be completed after only 5 months, so that the finished plant can be handed over to the customer in exactly a year. This is the 7th plant which Pörner will have erected in India. Already more than half of India’s annual bitumen production comes out of Pörner Biturox® reactors.
